Airport Pickup
On arrival the student will be greeted at the airport by EAA’s student support officer or nominated staff under the meet and greet program, provided, the student informs EAA about his/her estimated time of arrival (ETA) at least one week in advance and EAA has confirmed his/her letter or an e-mail on this request.
Meet and greet program
After pick up from the airport, the student will be offered refreshments and arrangements will be made for him/her to call his/her family to inform them for his/her safe arrival. Thereafter, the student will be transferred to either EAA accommodation or the student’s preferred place of stay. EAA recognises that there is always a few days gap between student’s arrival and course commencement. This is the most crucial time for a newly arrived student when he/she feels lonely, depressed and homesick being away from family, friends and familiar environment. A small meeting at the airport and arrangement for transport, living accommodation and initial counselling plays a vital role to make students transition a hassle free experience.
Orientation Program
EAA will provide an age and culture sensitive orientation program, in which students will be provided with exhaustive information by our staff, during face to face session, to make their stay hassle free. Apart from information on the enrolled course, the rights and responsibilities of students and EAA, student support services, appeal and complaint procedure, critical incident policy, visa conditions, dos and don’ts, cross culture, and living in Melbourne and about Australia, etc, will be clearly defined.
